Pine Richland is preparing for the 2010-11 season and would like to announce tryouts for the upcoming year.

 

Players from 6th grade thru 12th grade are eligible. Teams and grade levels are as follows:

Varsity - 9th thru 12th grade

JV – 8th thru 12th grade

Freshman – 6th thru 9th grade

 

It is very important to come to tryouts if you plan to play for Pine-Richland next season.  Tryouts will be at The Ice Connection on the following dates & times: 

Monday May 24th 7:00 - 8:20pm - Varsity

Wednesday May 26th 7:00 - 8:20pm - JV

Thursday May 27th 6:20 - 7:40pm - Freshman

 

PR encourages all players to try out at highest level your grade will allow. Example: If you are in 9th grade, try out at Varsity. If you are in 8th grade, try out at JV.

  

The cost to play on these teams can range from approximately $1,200.00-$1,500.00 dollars and PR does try to allow you fundraising activities. Fees may change from year to year depending on cost of ice and funds provided by The Pine-Richland School District.

Registration Fees:

 

The registration fee for the 2010-2011 tryouts will be $200.  This fee must be submitted prior to tryouts. Please make check payable to PRHA. $100 of this fee covers the cost of tryouts and is non-refundable.  The remaining $100 is your “commitment fee”.  Both fees will be applied to your total 2010-2011 season fees. The commitment fee will be refunded if you decide not to play and notify the organization by Monday June 7, 2010.

 

As in the past, PR Hockey will be as accommodating as possible with amateur hockey. PR believes players should have opportunity to play and experience both High School and amateur hockey. PR understands and sees benefits to both.

 

To register, please fill out the attached registration form and bring to tryouts. Also, please bring a copy of your USA Hockey Registration, Birth Certificate, Consent to Treat and Code of Conduct. If you played for PR last year, we should already have your birth certificate. You can register for USA Hockey at www.usahockeyregistration.com.

Documents required
 
All players wishing to tryout for the 2010/2011 season must present themselves at the relevant session in good time and must bring with them a copy of their birth certificate, copy of USA Hockey registration document (including Waiver of Liability), code of conduct, and consent to treat form.  See the checklist below for more detail.

Physicals
 
If your child makes the team, you must complete a physical in Fall, prior to the start of practice.  If you have not completed a physical already, this can be done through your doctor, however you need to take the physical forms that can be obtained from the Athletic office.  Once the medical is completed you need to hand your completed forms to the athletic office before you go on the ice.
